Zyda will be attending the McDermott Will & Emery Women's Event as a featured speaker regarding diversity and racial equity efforts in the operatic performance and education industry.

Nailah nombeko's sunder

 Zyda performed the role of Nomi in the world premiere of Nailah Nombeko and Alicia Haymer's SUNDER, a one-act opera about Black Lives Matter, racial equity, and allyship. Conducted by Jonathan King. Directed by Amanda Consol.

George Bridgetower's 
"Henry, A ballad"

Zyda records Bridgetower's only confirmed extant vocal work in what appears to be the first recording digitally documented and available. Listen here.

Le nozze di figaro

Zyda returns to the role of Susanna in a modern take on Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro set in a country club. Directed by Margaret Jumonville and conducted by Codrut Birsan. Learn more here.

Street Scene

Zyda makes her role debut as Greta Fiorentino in Maryland Opera Studio's "spring opera," with full orchestra. Conducted by Craig Kier and directed by Amanda Consol.

Mahagonny songspiel

Zyda sings Jessie in Weill's Mahagonny Songspiel. Reimagined during the Golden Age of Hollywood, Zyda performs the role of Jessie through the lens of Josephine Baker. Conducted by Craig Kier and directed by David Leftowich.
